Use of color
Colors evoke emotions, convey messages, and add brilliance to everyday things.
For example, blue conveys feelings of strength, dependability, and tranquility. Technology brands like IBM, HP, and Dell take advantage of blue’s trustworthy message.
However, blue is not a suitable color for food because it can be unappetizing if not used correctly, highlighted by Jenn David Design in their article, Colors that Influence Food Sales (4), which also proposed that red and yellow evoke the taste buds and stimulate the appetite. Orange is another appetizing color. Brown and earth tones are warm and appetizing. Green connotes eco-friendliness and healthy.
It is important to choose the appropriate color to match the products that the website is offering.
